Frequently Asked Questions

I Am nervous about Lifting. Where should I start?

Nerves are a very normal part of the process. Every person, new or experienced feels them when stepping through new doors. If nerves are getting the better of you - we suggest sending through a contact form so one of our friendly coaches can jump on the phone and have a casual chat first. This often calms nerves as you get the opportunity to express where you are at, in the comfort of your own home, and be guided by the coach about what will be your next best, individualised step.

What Experience level do I need?

ZILCH! Come just as you are. We don’t care if you cannot tell the difference between a Dumbbell or a barbell - we are here to guide all women, whether its day 1 or 100. We all must start somewhere!

What are The age requirements?

Within our HQ walls, the youngest we can work with is 13. We are insured and covered by working with children’s from all ages above 13. When it comes to being TOO old? Don’t worry… we have heard this concern before! Our current oldest member is 70… and we want the next person to challenge that! Age is not an issue in our community. Don’t let it be one for you!

WHat Equipment do I need to bring?

I am guessing you have seen some big scary belts, shoes, or funny things on peoples knees? Thats okay - these are all personal preference. If you are new to strength training - come as you are! The rest is not necessary! Its all optional.

WIll This style of training make me Bulky?

Valid question with common concern - but NO, we promise! Bulky is often used to describe TOO much muscle, beyond ones desired outcome. Its truely impossible to reach this outcome, unless you start to manipulate things to MAKE this possible. Gaining muscle is hard, it doesn’t happen overnight! (and takes a lot more than just training!)

I Am injured - am I able to still train?

Injuries are our JAM! Our class sizes do not exceed a coach to client 1:6 ratio - meaning we have a very hands on individualised approach, making almost ALL injuries capable to work with. We work with women with sever back injuries all the way to being in boots (so…many…broken…feet!). We know one thing - movement is always key. So together, we will make it work. Just be sure to voice your concerns with your coach so we can help make you feel at ease with the process. We also directly communicate with your allied health professional - so you can stop being the middle man trying to break down the confusing terminology!

PRE & POST NATAL

We got you, Mumma! We welcome all pre and post natal women. All coaches have completed the required education to be able to do so and help guide you on your training journey during these phases.

Can I suspend my membership?

Can I bring my children with me?

Ofcourse.

As long as your kids stay in our safe zone, and do not come running onto the gym floor for their own safety - all children are welcome!
